who am i?
I'm Audrey! I'm a mother and wife-to-be from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. I've been in the beauty industry for many years now, and more specifically the wedding industry since 2008.
As a child, I was always into playing with makeup and hair styles. I had begun doing updos on myself and my friends as far back as 5th grade. In high school, i was the "go to" friend for hair, constructing all sorts of trendy hair styles for proms, homecomings, graduations, etc.
A few years after high school, I began working at a friends salon as a shampoo girl & wedding stylist. It was then that I knew this was not only something I enjoyed, but a true passion of mine.
During that time, I perfected my techniques of basic makeup and complete hair styles. I also began freelancing, accepting weddings of friends and family. It wasn't long before referrals started rolling in and I was branching out. In late 2011, I joined an incredible agency, "Daneene Jensen & Associates", where I have been happily employed since. We specialize in wedding hair & makeup on location.
Aside from weddings and proms, I also provide hair & makeup services for photo shoots such as boudoir and portfolio photos; and styled shoots as well. I get to meet some amazing women, and extremely talented photographers, some of whom I am lucky to call friends.
Sure it's great to have a job doing something I'm good at, but it's even better having a job that I love. Seeing women feel empowered in front of a camera, or brought to tears because their perfect vision of the bride they wanted to be was achieved with my handy work, makes my heart beyond happy. Everyday, I'm beyond grateful for being so blessed.
